"Let'due south Twist Once more" is a vocal written by Kal Mann and Dave Appell, and released as a single by Stubby Checker. One of the biggest striking singles of 1961, information technology reached No.8 on the U.South. Billboard pop nautical chart (No.3 on Greenbacks Box) in August of that twelvemonth and subsequently reached No.2 in the U.K. in Feb 1962. The song refers to the Twist trip the light fantastic craze and Checker'south 1960 single "The Twist", a 2-time U.S. No.i single (in September 1960 and once more in January 1962 on re-release).
The vocal received the 1962 Grammy Accolade for Best Rock & Roll Recording. Checker also recorded the song in German every bit "Der Twist Beginnt" and in Italian as "Balliamo il Twist". A sample of "Der Twist Beginnt" would later be used past The Residents to brainstorm their 1976 album The Third Reich 'n Roll. The song appears on the soundtrack of the 2011 flick The Help.[1]
Croation singer Tatjana Cameron Tajči made a remake of the song in Croatian renaming it Moj mali je opasan. In 1985, Kids Incorporated covered "Let's Twist Over again" in the Season 2 episode "Rock of Ages".[ii]

The song was covered in French past Johnny Hallyday. His version (titled "Viens danser le twist") was released in 1961 and spent seven weeks in total at no. ane on the singles sales nautical chart in France (from 13 November to thirteen Dec 1961 and from 13 January to nine February 1962).[16] In Wallonia (French Belgium) his single spent 40 weeks on the chart, also peaking at number i.[17]
